alex - we didn't write this, but we certainly agree with what was written here, and we are definitely interested in discussing all these matters, and so are many others out there. The Body is meant to have use of all it's parts, not just the "elite" few.... If you happen to see this comment, stop by and say hi to us sometime... (that goes for whoever wrote this as well...)

Is anyone out there in 2009 interested in commenting on this. Does anyone really cares? Any thing since 4/08? Who is the author, Jeramy? I like what you had to say. The body needs to be what Jesus intended, with all parts being and doing their part. If I was the pinkey fingernale, I'd scratch your itching ear. What else can can the pinkey nail do??? Swipe the empty bowl of cake frosting, I guess. All guesting asside, If I were just the little toe, I'd help keep the body balanced!!!
Thanks.

My wife and I was saved and filled in 07 in Calif. I've struggled for 29years finding suitable worship/ fellowship in the Holy Spirit. This seems to be common in the body. I'd like to fellowship/worship in northern Ky.

What if small groups do make disciples, (and sermons, etc.)just extrememly poorly. Sort of like making a path by just occasionally walking on it. It takes a couple of generations before you have a clear path. I do see your point, but I'm wondering if making disciples just needs to be very intentional in order to see much fruit, vs. the way "the church" is today that sees very little fruit.

You can put your toddler in one of those mop jumpsuits and have him/her collect dirt as he/she crawls, or you can mop your freaking floor. The former works, but it's also patheticly slow.

I suppose I'm saying that I'm glad for much of the stuff I've learned in conventional churches, and now that I'm learning to intentionally make disciples, I can reconfigure much of what I've learned towards that end... profitably. I thank God for showing me a more effective way to make paths.

Our non-traditional open church was begun in March. It is going well. So far we haven't had even one sermon. We share testimonies, worship, pray over one another, read Scriptures, and do whatever else the Holy Spirit leads us.

If you are ever in Nashville, visit us at 225 Berry Street, corner of Berry and Meridian Streets, within view of the Titans Stadium. (Map Quest will locate us for you.) We meet Sunday at 10:45 and Thursday night at 6:30. We prayer walk the community on Thusday mornings at 8:30.
